چکیده
The aim of this study was to observed the anesthetic efficacy alveolar nerve block on nine patients that CBCT diagnosed unilateral retromolar canal a double-blind, split-mouth approach. assessments patient response thermal (pulp vitality test) and pressure (compression soft tissue) stimuli were carried out before 5 minutes after inferior procedure, using both visual analog scale (VAS) Mc Gill pain questionnaires (McG). mean percentage decreased block, according VAS McG, statistically similar among hemi mandibles with without (Wilcoxon>0.05); however, those presented greater reduction in 6 9 cases. Therefore, is not determinant factor failure.

Stafne bone defect is a bone depression containing salivary gland or fatty soft tissue on the lingual surface of the mandible. The most common location is within the submandibular gland fossa and often close to the inferior border of the mandible. This defect is asymptomatic and generally discovered only incidentally during radiographic examination of the area. Stafne bone defect appears as a w...

objectives: accurate localization of the inferior alveolar canal (iac) is extremely important in some dental treatments. anatomical variation of the canal means that it can be difficult to locate. the purpose of this study was to assess the relationship of the gonial angle (ga) size and iac position using cone beam computed tomography (cbct). materials and methods: in this in vitro study, 61 dr...
متن کاملPrevalence of the Inferior Alveolar Nerve’s Anterior Loop and Mandibular Incisive Canal by Use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in an Iranian Population.
Background and aim: Mental nerve injury is one of the challenges of implant surgeries in the anterior mandibular region, which leads to complications such as paresthesia of the lip and chin. The present study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of the Inferior Alveolar Nerve's (IAN) anterior loop and mandibular incisive canal by use of CBCT. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive stud...
